ALLISON C. LAYTON
ATTORNEY
Allison C. Layton was drawn to the legal field at an early age. Allison graduated from the Randolph Early College High School with both an Associate’s in Arts and an Associate’s in Science – the first in her class to receive dual college degrees along with her high school diploma.
“I was raised in a very Christian household and strive to live and practice law by my faith each day. To me, this means providing candid legal advice, representing my clients with integrity, and meeting their personal needs with compassion and care. My background allows me to relate to and encourage my clients that are enduring one of the most trying chapters of their lives.”
Leaving her hometown of Franklinville, Randolph County, Allison attended High Point University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Pre-Law. At High Point, Allison was a Presidential Scholar and Student Athlete with the High Point University Equestrian Team. Allison graduated from High Point Magna Cum Laude.
Allison went on to Campbell University – Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she received Honors in Advanced Negotiations and Analysis. Throughout law school, Allison worked for multiple family law firms in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as a consumer bankruptcy firm. She dedicated her pro bono service as the Pro Bono Intern of the Domestic Violence Unit of Legal Aid North Carolina where she advocated for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
“I know what it is like to be a child of divorce. From personal experience, I understand the benefit of effective co-parenting on the development of a child. It is my distinct honor and privilege to advocate for families and children in need to bring stability and peace into their homes.”
Allison focuses her law practice in family law matters, and is certified through the Center for Cooperative Parenting as a Guardian Ad Litem – Court Appointed Investigator in high-conflict custody cases. Allison also enjoys serving families through her estate planning, personal injury, and civil appeals practice. She practices primarily in Randolph, Davidson, and Guilford Counties.
In her free time, Allison enjoys reading a good book, baking fresh sourdough bread, and spending time with her family, including their rescue hound dog. Allison is actively involved in service as a Partner in Ministry in her home church.
